SoundLab

is where kids turn sound into story.

We amplify creativity, rhythm, and self-expression in ages 6—15 through hands-on music and sound exploration. Each session is a mix of beat-making, vocal play, and collaborative sound design. This is a place where kids experiment, record, and bring their ideas to life. It’s all about finding your voice, building confidence, and feeling the power of creating something that moves people. Soundlab is where music becomes connection, and every kid gets to turn up the volume on who they are.

Every great sound starts with a spark. The SoundLab Project is the first step: a six-week experience where kids learn to record, mix, and express ideas through sound. Guided by Rein, they’ll explore rhythm, beats, voice, and storytelling while building the confidence to create freely. By the end, they’ll know how to shape sound into something that feels real, emotional, and entirely their own.

Once kids complete the SoundLab Project, they’re invited to our ongoing drop-in sessions: a creative playground for sound. Each session carries a new theme, from Halloween Beats to Friendship Frequencies to Dreams and Echoes. Kids come play, record, remix, and create something that moves people. It’s less about teaching and more about feeling. Every beat tells a story.

The stuff that actually matters

  • Discovering your unique sound; how you mix, layer, and create something that feels unmistakably you.

  • Learning how rhythm builds focus, patience, and emotional awareness.

  • Creating together, listening deeply, and building something that only works as a team.

  • Seeing that your voice matters and hearing it come to life.

  • Turning moods, memories, and energy into beats, lyrics, and soundscapes.

  • Exploring technology, instruments, and sound design without fear of mistakes.

  • Understanding that every story, every sound, and every person has something worth hearing.

  • Learning the tools to create on your own and knowing when to ask for support.

  • Feeling seen and connected through shared creation and shared silence alike.

  • Getting lost in rhythm, focus, and joy - that place where time disappears and creation begins.

Where sound becomes story. And where play meets rhythm.

SoundLab feels alive, like a conversation made of music. Kids sample, record, and remix, watching their ideas grow from a single spark into something that moves everyone in the room. It’s equal parts exploration and instinct, teaching that every sound carries intention. Over time, the room itself transforms: shared focus, laughter, and pulse. Together, they learn that rhythm is unpredictable, alive, and always evolving.

SoundLab is for ages 6—12 and runs on Thursdays from 2:30 am—4:00 pm. Each session blends sound exploration, recording, and digital creation in a way that feels natural, modern, and alive.

Before joining the drop-in sessions, kids complete the SoundLab Project - a guided introduction where they learn the foundations of rhythm, mixing, and storytelling through sound. Once they’ve finished, they can return anytime for themed drop-ins that shift with the seasons. From friendship anthems to winter beats, from playful loops to reflective soundscapes.

Tickets are $25 (+tax) and must be booked in advance.

All equipment and materials are provided. Just bring a water bottle, your curiosity, and focus.

SoundLab is a drop-off format program designed for independence, collaboration, and creative flow.
