Held on Juneteenth, this immersive MoxiKids experience invites kids to explore the historic Kinder Villa land through artifact discovery, storytelling, observation, and hands-on exploration. Using real tools like metal detectors, children will search for hidden objects, examine clues from the past, and imagine the lives and stories connected to the land before them.
Together, we’ll wonder, document discoveries, reflect on overlooked histories, and explore how stories continue through us today.
To close the experience, kids will help create a collaborative time capsule; leaving behind their own mark, memories, and pieces of childhood for the future.
This is not a history lecture or a traditional workshop. This Hidden Histories Workshop is about curiosity, discovery, imagination, reflection, and connection.
